2009 South African PhD Project Conference
6 - 8 May 2009, Johannesburg, South Africa
The South African PhD Project holds an annual conference, where potential doctoral students have the opportunity to gain further insight into postgraduate studies, learn about the local and international training and funding opportunities, as well as interact with role models and mentors. The 2009 South African PhD Project Conference will be held on 6 to 8 May 2009 at Emperors Palace in Johannesburg.

Post Graduate Research Indaba
The NRF, in collaboration with the University of South Africa (UNISA), hosted a Post Graduate Research Indaba in Pretoria from 20 - 22 February 2007. The main purpose of this conference was to create a platform for policy makers, postgraduate research students, research supervisors and funders to share experiences and challenges with a view to improve the state of postgraduate research in South Africa.
