Closed Call for Research Proposals for funding in 2018
The Department of Science and Technology (DST) and the National Research Foundation (NRF) in partnership with the Department of Higher Education and Training (DHET) are pleased to announce the DST-NRF Next Generation of Academics Programme (nGAP) Research Development Grant (RDG) call for 2018. This is a closed call which is limited to doctoral and post-doctoral nGAP scholars who are in their first or second year of appointment only.
Nominated nGAP scholars are invited to submit applications in accordance with the strategy and eligibility criteria, as set out in the New Generation of Academics’ Programme Funding Guide Document, for funding in 2018. For more information please view the attached documents or visit the NRF website at www.nrf.ac.za.
Applications must be submitted electronically via the NRF’s Online Submission System at https://nrfsubmission.nrf.ac.za.
The closing date for DA approval cannot be extended, therefore institutions should set their own internal closing dates, to enable internal screening and validation by institutional Designated Authorities (DAs) prior to submission to the NRF. DAs should note that each institution has an nGAP Scholar coordinator who may be contacted for the validation of eligible applicants.
