USA: Laureate Global Fellowship

The Laureate Global Fellowship, in partnership with Laureate International Universities, is inviting 20 extraordinary young leaders who are founders, or co-founders of social programmes that are focused on solving problems in a modern way to apply for the fellowship.

The Laureate Global Fellowship is sponsored by Laureate International Universities and has a network of nearly 1500 change makers who continue to provide solutions to urgent challenges in their communities. The fellowship is a yearlong learning experience which will allow the fellows to develop leadership expertise and deepen their impact through a dynamic network.

Embassy of Italy: Scholarships on Intellectual Property (IP) and Valuation

The Embassy of Italy, in partnership with The Italian Patent and Trademark Office are offering 15 scholarships, to study at the University Guido Carli LUISS Business Management School. The Business School offers post-graduate training that is designed to meet the needs of the ever-changing market.

This ten week programme will focus on Industrial and Intellectual Property (IP) Law, International IP Granting Procedure, Innovation Management, IP University, IP enabled Business Models, IP Data Analysis, Emergent Issues in IP, and Business and IP Valuation.

The programme runs from 2 May 2017 -  22 July 2017.

Postgraduate Certificate in Ocean Bathymetry at the University of New Hampshire, USA, (2017 – 2018)

Nominations for the 14th class of the Nippon Foundation / General Bathymetric Chart of the Oceans (GEBCO) programme, are now open. This twelve month training course will take place at the University of Hampshire in the USA. Upon completing the course, students will receive a certificate in Ocean Mapping.

The purpose of this programme is to train scientists and hydrographers in ocean bathymetry. GEBCO works with the scientific and hydrographic communities through the Intergovernmental Oceanographic Commission (IOC) of UNESCO and the International Hydrographic Organization (IHO).

Applicants must be able to start with studies in USA, from August 2017.  Applicants must provide proof  that they will be able to successfully complete their studies in English, and must also be in possession of a four year Bachelor’s degree in Science or Engineering.

Azerbaijan: ADA University

The Government of the Republic of Azerbaijan and ADA University are offering scholarships to foreign students. The ADA University is committed to grooming world class leaders. Their research focuses on diplomacy, public and international affairs, business, humanities and sciences, information technologies and system engineering.

This programme is open at Bachelor’s and Master’s level to South African students who are in good health and have a strong academic record (minimum average of 60%).

The scholarship covers tuition fees and course fees (fully and partial) but DOES NOT COVER flight tickets, monthly stipend and medical insurance.

The deadline for application is 1 April 2017.
