Former President Kgalema Motlanthe to deliver a Nobel Inspired Lecture on The Vision of Nobel and Mandela
On Friday, 05 October 2018, The National Research Foundation, in partnership with the Swedish Embassy and the University of Witwatersrand will be hosting a nobel inspired lecture in honour of the Nobel Peace laureate, Nelson Mandela. The lecture will delivered by the former president of the Republic of South Africa H.E. Kgalema Motlanthe, and will be titled “The Vision of Nobel and Mandela: Meaning and challenges for a contemporary South Africa”.
Former President Mandela was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize in 1993 for his efforts in achieving a peaceful transformation from a society divided by apartheid to a democracy.
