Birmingham Solar Oscillations Network (BiSON) Sutherland station is a co-operative programme between the South African Astronomical Observatory (SAAO) and Birmingham University, UK. This is one of six networked solar telescopes spread around the world which studies the 5-minute oscillations of the Sun.
