SAASTA
SAASTA has a number of initiatives that are aimed at assisting and empowering physical science, mathematics, life science and life orientation educators. SAASTA provides resource material such as educators’ manuals for Primary Science Day, a module for mathematics teachers in measures of central tendencies, life orientation and biotechnology and biodiversity manuals.
The Science Teachers' Forum is an open forum aimed at senior grade educators of science, technology, life sciences, geography and mathematics. The educators meet to share their ideas and discuss issues and difficulties encountered in the classroom. Selected purveyors of school-related science educational aids are also invited to demonstrate their latest equipment available in the market.
