Ordering Data
Users and Depositors should note that the data and documentation re-disseminated by the South African Data Archive do not belong to the archive but to the individual depositors of the data to the archive.
Ordering Information

Orders for copies of data files, and relevant documentation from SADA can now be made online by completing the relevant order form.

Alternatively, users can submit their data orders via fax, e-mail or post. Complete an ORDER FORM (download in Microsoft Word or Adobe Acrobat format) before the data can be made available to you. A copy of the form can either be faxed, e-mailed or posted to SADA (see contact details below).

Data distributed by SADA can be supplied via FTP, stiffy disk or CD-ROM. View information on FTP procedures.

Certain codebooks are now available for download from our web site. View a list of electronically available codebooks.

Note: Prior to distributing certain data and documentation, SADA has to contact the Principal Investigator in order to obtain permission.
Costs Involved
Currently there are no costs involved when ordering data and documentation from SADA.
Usage Regulations
The user should abide by the following regulations when using data and documentation from SADA:
- The data and documentation will be used only for research, research training, teaching and policy decisions.
- No attempt will be made to use the data to derive information on specifically identified individuals or households in the data.
- The data and documentation received from SADA will not be duplicated without prior approval of the Director of SADA.
- Both SADA and the Depositor will be acknowledged in all published works based on the data and documentation.
- SADA and the Depositor of the data will not be held liable for the accuracy or comprehensiveness of the data.
