SA Students Accepted to IIASA’s YSSP Programme

Two PhD students, Luckson Muyemeki (North West University) and Mozzamil Mohammed (Stellenbosch University) have been accepted to participate in the prestigious Young Scientists Summer Programme (YSSP) hosted by the International Institute for Applied Systems Analysis (IIASA) in 2018. Since 1977, approximately 50 students across the world are annually accepted to participate in IIASA's YSSP. The students will be working with the Air Quality & Greenhouse Gases (AIR) and Evolution and Ecology (EEP) Research Programs.

SASAC PhDs Visit IIASA in Austria

A group of 30 PhD students and supervisors from 10 South African universities are visiting the International Institute for Applied Systems Analysis (IIASA) in Laxenburg, Austria during 24-29 April 2016. The visit is part of the recently formalised Southern African Systems Analysis Centre (SASAC) initiative. SASAC has dedicated three-year bursaries for South African PhD students to complete their studies with a supervisor from South Africa experienced in systems analysis and preferably with a co-supervisor associated with IIASA.
