Social Sciences Professor Musawenkosi SaurombeDepartment of Industrial Psychology and People Management, University of Johannesburg Prof Musawenkosi Saurombe bears the distinction of being the youngest female PhD graduate in Africa at the age of 23. Her research focuses on talent management; skilled labour migration; women representation and aspects of digitalisation of the talent management function in organisations.She completed her undergraduate and postgraduate studies in human resources and personnel management at North-West University, culminating in the completion of her PhD in industrial psychology in 2016. She worked as a postdoctoral research Fellow at North-West University and as a senior lecturer at the University of the Free State before moving to the University of Johannesburg, where she is currently an associate professor and qualification leader. She is also a visiting professor at Kozminski University in Poland.She has published more than 25 articles in journals including the SA Journal of Human Resource Management; BMC Public Health; and Frontiers in Organisational Psychology. She also serves as an academic and associate editor of PLOS One, Sage Open and the APA Journal of Experimental Psychology: General.She has supervised 19 Honours, 11 Master’s and three PhD students to completion and is currently supervising four Honours, three Master’s and three PhD students.
