Natural Sciences and Engineering Mr Nhlanganiso Madondo Department of Chemical EngineeringDurban University of Technology Mr Nhlanganiso Madondo’s interest is in water and wastewater management. He completed his BTech cum laude at the Mangosuthu University of Technology (MUT), and his MEng at the Durban University of Technology (DUT). He is currently enrolled for his DEng in Chemical Engineering at DUT. His project is entitled Anaerobic Digestion Using Bioelectrochemical System and Metallic Additives: Effect of electrochemical efficiencies on methane and biogas yields. The outcome of his research is of national and global interest as it is aimed at addressing global concern about fossil fuels, rapid industrialisation and overpopulation. Since the commencement of his experimental work in October 2021, he has already published four peer-reviewed papers in the following journals: MDPI Bioengineering, South African Journal of Chemical Engineering, MDPI Catalysts and MDPI Molecules. He’s currently working on another paper Application of Magnetite Nanoparticles and Constant Magnetic Field on a Microbial Fuel Cell in Anaerobic Digestion and has another paper in review (Bioengineering-184287).
