Engineering Mr Sancho NyoniCentre for Minerals Research University of Cape Town Sancho Nyoni’s research in mineral processing focuses on water chemistry as it pertains to recycling and closed water circuits in mineral processing plants. This research is considered critical to the regional mining industry as it adapts to operating within a water-scarce environment. He obtained his BSc (Hon) in Applied Chemistry from the National University of Science and Technology in Zimbabwe and MSc (Eng) in Minerals Processing and Extractive Metallurgy from the University of the Witwatersrand. He is a member of the Southern African Institute of Mining and Metallurgy (SAIMM); serves on the SAIMM Young Professionals Council (YPC); and is the Editor of the SAIMM YPC E-Mag. He has also published two articles in peer-reviewed journals and presented two papers at local and international conferences.
