2025 NRF Insights

The National Research Foundation’s (NRF) NRF Data Insights series informs stakeholders and partners about the organisation’s activities and achievements. It is a series of publications that monitors and assesses the state of research and research funding in South Africa, centred around the NRF and its interventions. The purpose of the NRF Data Insights series is to inform external stakeholders and partners about the organisation’s activities and achievement, along with challenges and achievements in the research enterprise.

The NRF Data Insights responds to the ambitions of NRF’s Vision 2030. The short publications highlight trends and provide brief updates on the NRF’s developments. Every issue is structured to highlighting a different key focus area. The short publications are uploaded to the NRF’s website on a regular basis as data are available.
