Ms Kelebogile Magano

My role involves fostering a positive work environment, facilitating a strong organisational culture, and aligning HR practices with the company’s objectives.

What inspired you to become the leader you are today?

I didn’t choose leadership – leadership chose me. However, my strong desire to contribute to the organisation’s success and make a difference motivated me to step up and become a leader. A desire to advance in my career and take on more responsibilities was also an important driver.

What advice would you give to the next generation of women leaders?

Know your true worth—the values and goals that motivate you to your position and advocate for them consistently and relentlessly. Nurture your associates, those who share your true worth and want you to succeed. Let them help and support you. Before you can change something, you must first understand it

You get to decide what is important to you, and it doesn’t have to be the same things that are important to others. There will be moments when some people give you a hard time, and – at the time – their opinion of you might seem like that’s all that matters, but it’s not. Don’t let anyone try to change who you are.
