Ms Puseletso Hlogoana

My roles and responsibilities include the preparation of the annual financial reports; managing financial processes and activities; coordination of and managing the external audit process; compiling quarterly reports in compliance with legislation, and providing specialist advisory services to the NRF’s Business Units, amongst other things.

I am also the Risk Champion for the NRF Corporate Finance Unit.

What inspired you to become the leader that you are today?

I am inspired by stories of female leaders who have made it against all odds; leaders who break boundaries and pave the way for up-and-coming talent.

My upbringing also inspired my journey. I wanted to be a testament that young black girls from the township could also be great, and that pushed me to work harder.

What advice would you give to the next generation of women leaders?

Women need to know their worth and understand the power they possess. We need to encourage young women to believe in themselves and that they are as capable as their male counterparts.

I also encourage the school of learning. We need to constantly upskill ourselves to grow in our craft and to better ourselves.

Lastly, we need to uplift each other. Leadership, particularly women’s leadership, is about upliftment, mentorship, skills transfer and development.

My favourite quote: “Here’s to strong women. May we know them, may we be them, may we raise them.”
