wpadmin NRF in the News May 18, 2022 The NRF annually invites profile submissions to celebrate young researchers during Youth Month who have an affiliation with the NRF and its Business Units (NRF-SAASTA, NRF-SAAO, NRF-iThemba LABS, NRF-SAIAB, NRF-SAEON and NRF-SARAO). The affiliation can be through funding, employment, or any other opportunities offered by the NRF. The theme for this year is based on the upcoming celebrations of the “International Year of Basic Sciences for Sustainable Development”. As these celebrations are linked to the United Nation’s 17 Sustainable Developments Goals (SDGs), which are aimed at ensuring a sustainable planet, we are encouraging researchers whose work is aimed at contributing to any one of these goals to submit their stories. The goals are fairly broad and can be contributed to in numerous ways, directly or indirectly. In the attached questionnaire, we have included more details about the goals as well as a link to the UN’s website should more information be required. To ensure fairness, we kindly ask that researchers who were featured during the 2021 NRF Youth Month celebrations not submit questionnaires for the 2022 celebrations. We do encourage 2022 participants to look at the 2021 Youth Month features as these stories can serve as inspiration for their own submissions. NRF-Youth-Month-Researcher-Questionnaire-2022Download Please submit your questionnaire to Thalia.Brussow@nrf.ac.za, along with one or two high-quality photos of yourself. The deadline for submissions is 30 May 2022 at 23:00. Share on Facebook Share on X
