Announcement of Successful Applications: Additional Awards for the NRF Innovation Postdoctoral Fellowships 2023

The National Research Foundation (NRF) is pleased to announce additional Innovation Postdoctoral Fellowships awards for 2023. These fellowships are aimed at promoting research and research capacity development in all knowledge fields of research, with priority given to Science, Engineering and Technology (SET) disciplines. Fellowships are open to South African citizens and permanent residents as well as international candidates who intend to undertake research at a public university or research institution in South Africa. Successful applicants are listed in Table 1 below.

PLEASE NOTE:

• If your name does not appear on the table that follows, you have not been awarded an NRF Innovation Postdoctoral fellowship for 2023.
• Successful candidates will be able to view and download their award letters in March 2023, via NRF Connect against your application.
• Read through the Conditions of Grant (CoG) document carefully before accepting the award.
• Funds will only be released once the completed documentation has been uploaded on the applicants’ profile and received by the NRF.
• Feedback to unsuccessful candidates will be provided in April 2023.
• All signed and completed documentation must be uploaded on the applicants’ profile and received by the NRF within two months of receipt of the award letter.
• Awards not taken up by 30 June 2023, will be automatically cancelled, unless otherwise approved by the NRF.
