Announcement of Successful Applications for the 2023 NRF Scarce Skills Post-Doctoral Fellowship

The National Research Foundation (NRF) is pleased to announce the Scarce Skills Postdoctoral Fellowship awards for 2023. These fellowships are aimed at promoting research and research capacity development in all knowledge fields of research, with priority given to Scarce Skills areas. Fellowships are open to bona fide South African citizens and permanent residents only. Successful applicants are listed in Table 1 below.

PLEASE NOTE:

If your name does not appear on the table that follows, you have not been awarded an NRF Scarce Skills Postdoctoral fellowship for 2023.

  • Successful candidates will be able to view and download their award letters from June 2023, via NRF Connect against your application.
  • Read through the Conditions of Grant (CoG) document carefully before accepting the award.
  • Funds will only be released once the completed documentation has been uploaded on the applicants’ profile and received by the NRF.
  • All signed and completed documentation must be uploaded on the applicants’ profile and received by the NRF within two months of receipt of the award letter.
