The Capacity-Building Workshop on Digital Technology Integration in Business and Trade for Women and Youth, takes place from 24 – 28 March 2025, in Pretoria.

Organised by the Department of Science, Technology and Innovation in collaboration with the Department of Trade Industry and Competition and United Nations Economic Commission for Africa,  this workshop aims to empower women and policymakerswith the knowledge and tools to leverage digital technologies for business growth and trade. Workshop highlights include:

• Digital Trade & E-commerce – Exploring opportunities within the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA)
• Intellectual Property & Online Safety – Understanding rights, branding, and protection of digital assets
• Business Process Automation – Hands-on training on streamlining operations using automation tools
• Cross-Border Trade & Payments – Navigating regulations, logistics, and payment systems
• Scaling Small & Medium Enterprises (SMEs) – Leveraging technology for business expansion
