wpadmin NRF in the News August 5, 2022 The National Research Foundation (NRF) recently took stock of the collaborative research and joint mobility activities between South Africa and Japan in Science, Technology, and Innovation (STI), which have been published in a booklet. In the published booklet, the NRF highlights achievements and ongoing research projects between South African researchers and their Japanese counterparts as co-funded with the Japan Science and Technology Agency (JST); and the Japan Society for the Promotion of Science (JSPS); the Department of Research Science and Technology (DRST) of Botswana; the National Research and Innovation Fund for Development (FONRID) of Burkina Faso, and the Directorate of Financing of Scientific Research and Technological Development (DFRSDT) of Senegal. The booklet, launched at the recently held 5th South Africa-Japan Universities (SAJU) Forum, highlights select achievements and general outcomes from 2016 to 2021 and elucidates the impact of the partnership on strengthening the research capacity of researchers in the two countries.
