wpadmin NRF in the News February 28, 2023 Today, 28 February 2023, the National Research Foundation (NRF) bids farewell to Dr Beverley Damonse, the NRF’s Group Executive for Science Engagement and Corporate Relations, who will be retiring. Dr Damonse joined the NRF in 1998. She rose through the ranks, joining the NRF’s executive leadership in 2003 when she became the Managing Director of the South African Agency for Science and Technology Advancement (NRF-SAASTA). She, thereafter, joined the Corporate Executive as Group Executive: Science Engagement and Corporate Relations. In 2015 she served a 10-month stint as the NRF’s Acting CEO. “Dr Damonse has made considerable contributions to science engagement within the NRF and represented the organisation well on various international platforms. She has played a significant role in helping the organisation advance its mission and we acknowledge the contribution that she has made to the science system as a whole. We extend our heartfelt thanks to Dr Damonse for her commitment to the NRF and wish her well in her retirement,” said Dr Fulufhelo Nelwamondo, CEO of the NRF. Share on Facebook Share on X
