wpadmin NRF in the News June 17, 2021 The National Research Foundation (NRF) congratulates the NRF Board Chairperson, Dr Nompumelelo Obokoh, on her appointment as a member of the Independent Science for Development Council (ISDC). In this role Dr Obokoh will be offering independent, strategic advice to the CGIAR (Consortium of International Agricultural Research Centers) System Council, which is based in Montpelier, France. The ISDC is a standing panel of impartial, world-class scientific experts that contributes to the strategic and portfolio planning and positioning of the CGIAR. The CGIAR is the largest public agricultural innovation network and a global partnership that unites international organisations engaged in research about food security. The ISDC contributes to the strategic and portfolio planning and positioning of CGIAR by, amongst others, producing foresight work that informs the CGIAR’s longer-term research strategy.
