Pre-announcement on the upcoming Trans-Atlantic Platform (T-AP) Call on COVID-19 Recovery, Renewal and Resilience (RRR) in a Post-Pandemic World

Opening Date: Monday, 15 March, 2021Closing Date: Thursday, 22 April, 2021

The Trans-Atlantic Platform (T-AP) for Social Sciences and Humanities (SSH) is an unprecedented collaboration between humanities and social science research funders from South America, North America and Europe. T-AP aims to enhance the ability of funders, research organisations and researchers to engage in transnational dialogue and collaboration. It also works to identify common challenges and promote a culture of collaboration in SSH research by offering Joint Research Calls in areas of strong potential for international collaboration.

The T-AP funding organisations and project management agencies have partnered to create a 3^rd Joint Research Call focusing on COVID-19 Recovery, Renewal and Resilience (RRR) in a Post-Pandemic World. Even though South Africa is currently not a T-AP full member, the National Research Foundation (NRF) has joined this T-AP COVID-19 RRR Call and will support South African researchers wishing to participate in this call.

Anticipated dates

Call launch: Mid-April 2021

Deadline for Intention to Submit form: End May 2021

NRF Online Submission System opens:  01 June 2021

Call closing date: End June 2021
