wpadmin NRF in the News October 28, 2022 The Future Earth Africa hub, supported by the National Research Foundation (NRF) is pleased to announce that it will be hosting a Sustainability Research and Innovation (SRI2023) Africa satellite event. The SRI2023 satellite events are live hybrid engagements that take place across the globe, creating an inclusive, round-the-clock interactive programme connected with the SRI2023 congress in Panama. The Africa Hub will host local-to-regional sessions with a regional to a global audience to explore action-forward approaches to sustainability research and innovation and integrate these insights into the SRI2023 congress programme. Creating connection points and opportunities for in-person participation outside of the central congress location will deepen SRI’s global perspective and make the Congress accessible to a broader audience around the world. The SRI2023 Africa satellite event will be held as a hybrid event as part of SRI2023 that will be taking place in Panama, Central America on 26-30 June 2023. Hosted by Future Earth Africa Global Secretariat Hub and supported by the National Research Foundation, the event aims to provide an opportunity to engage on African sustainability issues, opportunities and solutions. This event will provide a platform for engagement, and collaboration and create opportunities for early career researchers, established researchers, research managers, policymakers, and industry experts to share their ideas, relevant knowledge, and information in order to strengthen the next generation of researchers in Africa. Everyone in sustainability science, global/ climate change, healthy & inclusive communities, early-career researchers, policymakers, students, and civil society are invited to register and participate in the event.
