Announcement Of Successful Applications For The DSTI-NRF Centres of Excellence (Coes) and National Institute of Research, Development and Innovation (Nirdis) First-Time Masters's and Doctoral Scholarships for Funding in the 2026 Academic Year

The Department of Science, Technology and Innovation (DSTI) and the National Research Foundation (NRF) are
pleased to announce the provisional awards for the DSTI-NRF Centres of Excellence (CoEs) and National
Institutes for Research, Development and Innovation (NIRDIs) First-Time Master’s and Doctoral Scholarships in 2026. The awards have been made according to the strategic objectives of the CoE and NIRDI funding
instruments, the DSTI-NRF Postgraduate Funding Policy as well as the available budget and the funding decision
by the respective CoEs and NIRDIs. Successful applications for the DSTI-NRF CoE and NIRDIs First-Time Master’s and Doctoral Scholarships are listed in Table 1 and Table 2 respectively. Candidates are either awarded at Full
Cost of Study (FCS) or Partial Cost of Study (PCS).
