Announcement of Successful Extension Support Applications for Masters and Doctoral studies 2022

The National Research Foundation (NRF) and the Department of Science and Innovation (DSI) are pleased to announce the provisional awards for the Extension Scholarship for Masters and Doctoral Studies in 2022. Extension Support for Masters and Doctoral awards have been made according to the strategic objectives of the Extension Support for Masters and Doctoral funding instrument, the DSI-NRF Postgraduate Funding Policy and the available budget. The list of successful applications for Masters and Doctoral studies are listed in Tables 1 and 2, respectively.

PLEASE NOTE:

  • If your name appears in the tables that follow, you have been successful in receiving an award for 2022.
  • The NRF will forward Letters of Award to successful candidates by 28 January 2022.
  • Once you have received the Conditions of grant (CoG), please read through the written agreement carefully, before accepting the award.
  • All signed and completed documentation must be forwarded to the NRF via your university postgraduate funding office or research office or financial aid office.
  • Funds will only be released once the completed documentation has been received by the NRF.
  • Awards not taken up by 30 April 2022 will be automatically cancelled, unless otherwise approved by the NRF.
  • If your name does not appear in the tables that follow, you have not been awarded a scholarship for 2022.
  • Feedback to unsuccessful candidates will only be provided by 28 January 2022.
  • The NRF provides feedback to unsuccessful candidates through the postgraduate funding offices or financial aid offices or research Offices of institutions and not to the individual student.
