Global Young Scientists Summit

The National Research Foundation (NRF) Singapore is excited to announce the Global Young Scientists Summit (GYSS) 2025 that will take place in Singapore from 6-10 January 2025. The Summit brings together bright young researchers and top scientific minds from around the world to discuss science and technology trends, future game changers and how research could address major global challenges. Participant nominations are now open!

To nominate a participant, please submit the following for EACH nominee:

  • First and Last Name;
  • Email address; and
  • Host Institution.

Kindly submit above nominee information to Mr Nelson Komane at sn.komane@risa.nrf.ac.za by no later than 27 August 2024. Nominees will be contacted by the GYSS official via email to complete their registration for shortlisting between August – September 2024.

Participant Eligibility

Nominees should be from the following categories:

  • Post-doctoral research fellows (≤5 years after obtaining PhD degree at the time of the Summit)
  • Doctoral students

All nominees should meet the following criteria:

  • Show a genuine interest in science and research;
  • Show a strong commitment to their principal field of study and to interdisciplinary work;
  • Be fluent in English to actively participate in discussions;
  • Not have previously participated on-site in GYSS, with the exception for GYSS 2021 and 2022 (online editions); and
  • Not have a permanent position (in general, scientists with permanent positions, in particular the professor/tenure level, will not be admitted to the Summit).
