wpadmin NRF in the News August 11, 2021 Professor Nadine Petersen, member of the NRF Board’s Research Development Committee, has been appointed Executive Dean: Faculty of Education at the University of Johannesburg (UJ). The appointment will be for a five-year term from 01 January 2022 to 31 December 2026. Prof Petersen joined the NRF Board in 2018 and, as the former Vice Dean: Teaching and Learning within the Faculty of Education at UJ, she is an acknowledged scholar of service-learning and teacher education, having invested in the research and practice of teacher education, often in collaboration with various international partners. As a significant contributor to the National System of Innovation, her appointment reflects the university’s commitment to intellectual integrity, academic excellence and actualising the potential that higher education holds for the continent’s development.
